Sunteca Telescopic arm awnings
are for outdoor entertainment areas like eateries, beer-gardens, cafes, pool areas, courtyards etc.where strength and rigidity are required.

The arms extend horizontally instead of vertically as in other awnings and with the easily adjustable arms they can be pivoted to any angle between vertical and horizontal (up to 90°). The Trion Telescopic arm awning is cantilevered out from the wall so that the arms do not get in the way. With minimal slope the awning will withstand showers because of the high degree of tension on the fabric, unlike Folding arm awnings which can pool with water if there is not sufficient slope, but it should be considered as a sunscreen rather than as a retractable roof due to wind restrictions.

A Somfy electric motor can only be used to operate the Sunteca Telescopic arm awning because of the extreme pressure needed to compress the pneumatic arms.With electric motors automatic operation with wind, sun and rain sensors or timers are then an option.

 

"Variable Valance"
is an optional extra on all Sunteca Telescopic arm awnings . This enables the customer to extend the valance of the awning as the sun moves across the sky. This may be done at any extension of the awning by simply useing the crank handle supplied to wind down the valance which is concealed in the bottom rail of the awning to the required level.
