Sourced from purpose grown trees
Our natural timber venetians are made from North American trees specifically grown for the purpose (Basswood and Red Cedar).
Basswood is used for paler slats, and typically has little colour variation between the slats. They are finished in a Polyester lacquer.
Cedar is used for darker slats, and is given an oil finish or can be custom painted which protects and enhances the grain.
Blinds will look more discrete if they are split to coincide with the window mullions. They can be operated by cords, or by optional quiet and effective electric motors.

We use Mortice and Tenoned joints similar to what you might find in quality furniture, whereas many other manufacturers use doweled joints.
Plantation shutters have good air flow through the shutter, they have flexible control of light and privacy, they add clear simple lines to your décor, and are easy to clean.
